We offer programs directly to the people we serve, and through and for partner organizations

Big World Connection

We effectively connect people to a bigger world

The people we served during our inaugural 2025-2026 season (see below) told us how they felt about their experiences: “I hadn’t seen a play since I was a small kid. It was amazing.” “I realized that I wanted to get out, and do more.” “I loved the music! They played so well, it gave me chills.”

Also:
97% of attendees said they’d recommend the experience, and themselves do it again
– 26% attended more than one event
– 50% said they’d prefer specifically to attend with a group, versus with a friend, or alone

2025-2026 Big Night Out Pilot Season

We curate arts experiences

We worked with arts organizations to curate and host arts experiences for the people we serve. In our inaugural 2025-2026 season, we hosted over 40 folks at 8 curated events including the theater, symphony, ballet, and museums. Each event included a shared nosh we call Kahvi (Finnish for coffee) to go beyond enjoying art to enjoying community.

Arts Organizations

We customize programs

We work with arts organizations to cost-effectively customize their experiences for returned community members. We identify existing and upcoming programs that can be easily enhanced and help organizations deliver them to the people we serve.

Our Expertise

Understanding – Communication – Trust

We are returned community members. We understand the experience of those who have spent time in institutions, those who are “othered” in the community, those who have had rare opportunities to experience the beauty and joy of art. We sit at a unique intersection of cultures – one that understands both the culture of incarceration, and the culture of the arts, and can help bridge the gap between them, to offer opportunities for joy on the part of the people we serve, and for expansion of services by the organizations with whom we work.
